Movies

Silent Voice 4/10
Maybe I didn't watch it in a serene enough setting. It covers deep themes and has the potential to pull on the heart strings. Character development in my opinion was quite choppy. Was a good watch nonetheless.

Hotarubi no mori e 8/10
enjoyed thoroughly, but unsatisfied with the ending (fan girling, but it was nice without the fan girl lens)

Kimi no Na Wa 5/10 neutral
a.k.a. Your Name. Was very interesting. Would probably benefit more if it were done in a 12 episode manner. It's about a girl and a boy who know each other very well, but every time they wake up, they forget.

Neither nen nor jo

Ballroom e Youkoso 9/10
I rank it so high cos I'm keen to see the next season. Average high school; kid who has no direction in life has found his passion in ballroom dancing. This is different because this kid is a dance genius. Very observant and uses it to his dance advantage.

A Boring World Where the Concept of Dirty Jokes Doesn't Exist 6/10
Name itself is pretty self explanatory. There's a justice team who is undercover that is against the boring world and wants to introduce the dirt back into the world!

a.k.a. Interviews with Monster Girls. It's a nice school girl anime where we journey with 4 demi-humans. A teacher who is studying them for their thesis seeks to understand their character and seems to genuinely care for them. He is quite a catch, short of being harem. It's pleasant, but I fail to see the end product.

Kiss x Sis 10/10 if you like being teased
Ecchi and harem galore! Borderline, crosstheline hentai. Two broken families unite through marriage. Each parent brings in their children to live under one roof. The twin daughters of the mum is crazy in love over their little brother. Oddly enough, their parents encourage the romance, acknowledging the fact they are not blood related. However, as expected from harem, the boy plays innocent and begins to get used to the idea.

Boku dake ga Inai Machi 10/10
a.k.a. Erased. For an anime that's 12 episodes long, it has a good plot and it wraps up nicely. It doesn't leave you hanging to wait for the second season because the objective of the main character has been reached. It wasn't dragged out unnecessarily. Time traveling to uncover the truth behind his classmates death to prevent the deaths of his present time.

Shounen

Boruto 5/10
Average spoilt kid. Lives a life opposite to Naruto, he is acknowledged as the Hokage's son but wants to make a name for himself. His heart is quite the same, though he wants more power and lots of it cos ever since peace took over the world, everyone in the next generation has become lil sissies. Now they're trying desperately to have the next generation exceed their predecessor's.

Koe no Katachi
a.k.a. A Silent Voice. It was sweet, and deep. Themes of friendship, forgiveness, bullying and suicide. Has the potential to hit home and tug on them heart strings but it was miss for me at this point in time. Perhaps I can rewatch and catch those feelings I missed this time round. The subtitles were a little distracting. Like a cute girl who speaks broken English. A new girl enters school who is deaf and the class clown leads everyone else to bully her. She transfers school to get away from it and it does her good until she is reunited with her bullies.

One Piece 10/10
Thoroughly enjoyed. A pirate crew who sails the seas in search for their own "one piece". Totally relatable, stands up for true justice, the government doesn't always have the people's best interest. Everyone has their own goal and together they join forces to help their captain become the pirate King. Has some really good life lessons. Fillers are not bad compared to other anime.

Naruto 7/10
It was a good watch. Friends over everything. Join Naruto as he climbs the ranks of being a ninja. So annoying how long it took to get Sasuke back, so annoying that romances occurred but we never got to see the development.

Hunter x Hunter 7/10
Enjoyable. These kids are 12 and they got me crushing on them. They may be 12 but their bodies has matured beyond their years! Great character development. Showed great contrast between major and little to no character development amongst the crew. Wish it was longer because I wanna know how things played out for everyone else.

Legend of Aang
I thoroughly enjoyed. The story line kept me interested and the romance within was enough.

Boku no Hero
Quirks is the new 'it' thing and has become a social norm. This is the journey of a quirkless kid who inherits the greatest quirk of all.

One Punch Man
Through lots of training, anything is possible. Saitama longs for a good, levelled fight, but he can't because he defeats all enemies with one punch.

Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress

Death Note

Shoujo

Gamers 19/17 3/10
Hottest girl in school starts up a gamers club. Her heart belongs to the gaming nerd but everyone in their circle is extremely misinformed and running on assumptions where multiple love triangles are present and non-existent.

Kiss him, not me 19/17 3/10
Overweight girl looses weight due to a an anime hero who died. She has a sweet spot for boy love and boys have a sweet spot for her now that she's thin.

Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso 02/17 8/10
a.k.a Your lie in April. Smooth romance between friends. Not all musicians can sing. Rated 8, only because I would much rather see more chemistry reactions between the main characters.

Kaichou wa Maid-sama 02/17 4/10
Two high schoolers who have major conflict on their journey to convince each other they're in love, or are they. One crazy ass girl is more loveable than what meets the eye. (rate because, the character development took too long for my liking)

Orange 02/17 7/10
A group of friends reunite to find out one of their friends had fallen to suicide. They all had their deepest regrets, knowing there was more they could've done to save him if they knew. So, they wrote letters to their younger selves to save their friend so they don't have to live with the same regret they did. They are on a mission to save his heart. (I like it, I got the feels BIG TIME, not a 10 because, there should be more kissing lol)

Masamune-kun no Revenge 02/17 4/10
Overweight kid turns into new hot guy on the block. Join him on his journey to woo his childhood love who broke his heart, only to have his revenge. Petty. If I were him, I'd just fall in love with her, with anybody, live my own life and not have it be scripted by an already existing perfect love kinda manga hha.(it's incomplete right now, but so far, he is just too obsessive for my liking, his personality doesn't show through his compulsive nature to woo her).

Ao Haru Ride 9/10
A girl is in high school and she is reunited with her childhood lover. They are so cute together! But something has happened during their time apart where he has cemented that nothing can happen between them now. Lots of near miss kisses.
[so relatable! - takes me back to my first love] tbh, I just wanted it longer.

Saiunkoku Monogatari 3/10
The King is young and is uninterested in his position. Shurei, an eligible bachelorette, is sent to unlock his inner King. Lots of one way kissing. A romance can come of these two if Shurei wasn't a workaholic and is anything but a push over. (It has a positive message to not be sleeping with the boss to get places... but I would want it to be more complete. Shocked that the anime is WAY ahead of the manga, but it just fizzles out and dies...)

Akagami no Shirayuki-Hime 7/10
Snow White with the red hair, they call her. A hard working commoner who is knowledgeable with herbs is selected to work in the Kingdom alongside their specialist to learn. She is a runaway from home to seek protection from another Kingdom.
